The Advertising Standards Bureau runs public awareness campaigns to raise awareness of its role and the issues considered by the Board. The most recent 'People like you' campaign released in March 2014 highlights that complaints are given a fair hearing by the Advertising Standards Board made up of community members. It also shows the ease of using our online complaints form.

Our previous campaign ‘tell someone who cares’ highlighted to the community that there is a place where people can raise their concerns about advertising.

People like you

The Advertising Standards Bureau public education campaign  'People like you’ was launched in March 2014. It highlighted to the community that there is a place where people can raise their concerns about any advertising or marketing communication, and that complaints are considered by a Board made up of 'people like you'.

Tell someone who cares

The Advertising Standards Bureau public education campaign  ‘Tell someone who cares’ was launched in 2008. It highlighted to the community that there is a place where people can raise their concerns about any advertising or marketing communication.

‘Tell someone who cares’ advertisements appeared on television, in newspapers, outdoor media and on the radio.
