Sonja Simpson

Sonja lives in Sydney with her husband and their three young adult children. Sonja has a Bachelor of Applied Science (Information Studies) degree from the University of Technology, Sydney and has spent her career working for the NSW public service in professional regulation, quality improvement and more recently in change management. 

After more than 20 years working in health, and following a brief period working for the NSW Ombudsman, Sonja now works as a change management lead within the NSW Rural Fire Service. In this role Sonja seeks to engage the many RFS employees and volunteers in informing and embracing change initiatives that will benefit them and the community they serve. 

Sonja is also a proud Rotarian and active in her local Rotary club. She is the President of her local Rotary club and has set her vision for the year to promote “kindness and connection” as these are two principals she is passionate to support in her local community.
